This is absolutely disgusting. Don’t hate on others belief. I am absolutely shocked that this came up on my dash and am utterly heartbroken that someone went to all the effort of creating this image.
How is this hating? This is not more hating on the religions than pray, than a post saying “God is love” is hating on atheists. The fact that you consider even the slightest hint of agnosticism or atheism or logic appearing on your dashboard “disgusting” is more hateful than this image could ever possibly be.
I know what type of person made this.. The type that is proud to be Atheist and will shove their point of view down your throat until you believe it and they’re just as bad as the religious types that do the same bloody thing.
If people believe in Prayers let them pray, if people don’t then stop bitching on them and making posters like this but people will never learn. I’m neutral in all off this.
Just going to add, thinking about someone as well doesn’t work but I see the person who made this didn’t make one for that.. So whatever.
I seriously don’t think that this constitutes shoving your opinion down another person’s throat any more than “Pray for Japan” etc. does. It is possible to express your beliefs without trying to convert people. Maybe the person who made this just thought that atheists might also like to see their opinion represented in a cool poster with bright colors, simple images and few words.
Woah, guys. Seriously.
I used to believe in God (currently agnostic) and it’s really not worth getting so annoyed over.
I mean, all of this is popping up because different people are reacting in different ways what has happened to Japan. Now, I’m perfectly happy with people having their own opinions- but it’s not worth getting angry over. Some atheists and religious people will always argue over something, by proxy of the fact they both believe different things, of course.
People who believe in prayer could be offended by this, yes, but should they really care about this image? The person who made it obviously feels that what you’re doing out of sympathy for Japan is uneffective, but if you feel like it’s going to do something, then go ahead and do it.
I really don’t think this is the time to be arguing about what the ‘best’ way of expressing your shock and grief over what has happened to Japan. Just do what you think is right and help as much as you can.
Another controversial subject that I enjoy discussing. The thread is long enough, so if you’re interested in what I say, hit me up in my ask box.
